A week before moving into an apartment, I called to recieve a quote from Comcast for service because our current cable provider at the time could not transfer service to our new address. Comcast is the only cable service provider where we now live. The technician applied my information to the address I was getting a quote about and applied the old tenants unpaid bill under my name! Needless to say when I called again to get another quote and to actually setup service I was told that I owed a $292 bill that was from certain dates that could not have been mine! I then had to physically drive to the Comcast office and provide valid proof that I was not at that address during the bill dates applied and was still unable to get it off my name until 9 business days later when I had to provide exact dates, phone numbers, the technician I spoke with for them to look it up and see that it was their technician who messed up!!! Do not get comcast service! They are a terrible cable company!
