This is all too familiar of no protection for consumers with these penny auction sites. Being misled into a site page of no return, that is, without paying a ransom first.
That's exactly how I felt on 3-3-12. While participating on a survey, I was searching for a good magazine prescription when a Zbiddy screen popped up. Of course I thought it was just another part of the survey to look at. Zbiddy auction site offered 85 bids for only $22.00 to play, just to see if you liked it. Well it seemed to be at the time something to do just for only $22.00 and the chance of winning one of those huge LCD HD tv's. Knowing it would never happen and it surely doesn't hurt to dream. The site said "just fill out your information including your bank card info. So I did and clicked continue. Guess what, I just purchased 250 bids for $100.00!!! I called their customer service and after arguing for 15 minutes, they said no to being reimbursed. I called my card bank and after their investigation they replied with no refund cause Zbiddy didn't do anything wrong. Wth. My own bank which is Wells Fargo, didn't even back me up! I even had a copy of the on-line chat we had that showed Zbiddy was trying to change the subject every time I mentioned about the promo for $22.00. Towards the end of a long chat they FINALLY admitted that there was a promo and I must of clicked the wrong button. Well anyway, as soon as I fix my scanner, I will post this copy of the conversation with Zbiddy.com and then let you folks decide who was wrong. I'm not kidding, your really going to get a kick out of this. Until then, I'll have to suck it up without getting my money back and keep dreaming about that nice huge LCD HD tv. Lol
