Freelotto guaranteed that i won almost $3,000. It said no jokes, no scams. I gave info, but they tried to make me pay

Freelotto.com sent me a message saying I had won @ $2,900. I was playing my usual Publishers Clearing House Lotto, and this website must be one of their sponsors. I usually do not respond to pop ups or any lotto message saying I won something because I know they are scams. But I did, however, respond to this particular advance because it guaranteed me that I had won this money.

The message said all I had to do is give them my information and they would send me a conformation email with my prize notification on it. I read the terms and prize agreement and everything seemed legitimate. I felt like maybe this time I had actually won!

Skeptically, I gave up my personal information. The message then took me to their website, but nothing was on it about my winnings. I went to my email to look for my prize message, but they did not even mention it. They did, however, try to get me to spend money to join their website.

I could understand if a message said "You are eligible to win" or "you could win" but this message said "You Won! You Won! You Won! $2,988 (can't remember the exact dollar amount), all you have to do is give us your information to claim your winnings!" Then I spend an hour on their website, only to return to my email to see like six messages from them, none of which say that I won anything. And then there is a small message that says you have to play to win!

This is really wrong to do to people. How can you cheat me into thinking I won, just to get my personal information and then try to charge me for "playing" if I don't unsubscribe? I was not aware that I had to pay anything and their name Freelotto is misleading as well! I would like to take action against this web site for false advertising and I want the money I was guaranteed that I had won!

If you are going to tell people that they won money, you need to give them their money! And if your company is called Free lotto, the lotteries need to be free!
