I was contracted to do graphic design work for Massachusetts resident, wardrobe and fashion stylist Nolan Wells. Nolan asked me to create a graphic for his business that consisted of a fashionable sketch or cartoon male character that contained the things he liked, (Rayband sunglasses, blackberry.) and text that says: "Nolan Wells: Wardrobe Stylist." We agreed upon a flat fee of $70.
A normal request like this has taken me on average about 6 hours to do. I patiently put in close to 25 hours and about 130 revisions per client request. I worked closely with Nolan and did everything he asked. He said he loved it and was going to pay. I patiently made 10 more revisions before the client said "You did exactly what I said, but this is not what I envisioned. I will still pay you for your time."
In that time frame of the 10 revisions, the client was evasive, said he would contact me by certain times, and missed about five deadlines that he set for himself.
