Remove Pc Cure (& Individual: Calvin)
Remove Pc Cure & Individual: Calvin My laptop got infected with a virus last Wednesday night & ended up purchasing antiviral software "Digital protection", which turned out to be a scam. Strangely, Calvin called me the next day knowing

My laptop got infected with viruses on 4/14/10 night, and many alerts popped up warning me, incl mentioned about Digital Protection Purchase. As a result, I purchased an online antiviral "Digital Protection" (which turned out to be a scam and "computer parasite"-online info). Strangely, the next day I received a call from Calvin (from Remote PC Cure) knowing my laptop got infected. After trying to offer me a good deal because I am a student and said he's going to use "Kaspersky antiviral software", I allowed him to access into my laptop via "TeamViewer" software which he guided me to download, while paying out to his company website simultaneously so my bank card was exposing (which this card I have not been using for 3 months). He also was the one that told me Digital Protection was not good. Fearing that someone might hack into my laptop or invasion of another virus, he reassured me that my computer is safe from hackers and virus from now on after the installation and the service he did. Strangely, another colleague of his called me the next day wanting to access my laptop again just because he needed my feedback on their service (I did not allow him) because I was waiting for Calvin to call back to install Kasperky into another computer as part of the deal.

I found out within 24 hrs, that on the same day that I paid Remote PC Cure with the same bank card, I got an unauthorized banking transaction into my bank acct. I called Calvin back and spoke to his colleague "William" instead, & asking him if there is any association with the company. William said no. I then called my banks right away but the transactions were still "pending" so I could not be able to cancel but to wait for a few days. 4/17/10 I called my banks again and local computer store: 1 banker said this Digital Protection definitely a fraud, and Remove PC Cure might be another fraud so advising me to close the cards, another computer store staff said it is not because it's on Facebook and look like legitimate website but not sure what he did to my computer.

I called Calvin and expressed my distrust & fear toward the company. Even though I was not accusing him of the unauthorized transaction, I told him I requested my money back: my bank card was exposing on the same day with his access, and I can't rest my mind or feel secured anymore with the company knowing for the fact that I have another 6 more months service of having someone from Remote PC Cure acccessing into my computer and who knows what Calvin was doing to my computer in the first place, and who knows if my laptop is safe. After long conversation, he said he'll return full refund if after I take my laptop to an professional and prove my laptop got infected or he'll return full refund only if I open a Paypal acct so he can send the money back immediately. I called Paypal and found out I don't need to open a Paypal acct to have the merchant to return the money. They just need to follow the instructions on Refund Link and the Paypal agent emails the instructions to Remote PC Cure during our phone conversation.

On 4/17/10 I took my laptop to Best Buy and 4/18/10 the report shows my laptop got 3 viruses (even with Kasperky installation) after free scanning. Now my laptop is still in Best Buy for repair and further diagonostics. I called Remote PC Cure but no return calls from them till now.
