I didn't realize what the advertisements were about at first. I thought it was originally completely free, never pay for anything, but after a couple days not only did I realize that I was lied to, but I sort of became addicted to the game play. It's a very good game, well built. I wouldn't call the game a rip off, it's actually fun to play, easy to use. However when I saw the advertisement that said "$5 for 250 cents worth, " and fell for it, I found that it wasn't 250 cents for $5 like the advertisement led me to believe. There was no fine print, so I didn't realize at first that I was actually paying for 50 cents and 200 cents worth of other things.
I also noticed that the game is lying to us by saying it's "completely free to try, " but in order to avoid frustration with the game, you do have to spend money on game "cents" in order to get anywhere. And once they hook you on spending money just that once, you just keep going back for more, because it's just so easy to spend money on it to get what you want.
I see the company as not only a skilled con-artist, but a very valid way for this guy to make money. If by chance he didn't realize he's ripping people off, how about actually giving people their money's worth and giving us not 50 cents for $5 but 500 cents because that's how life really is.
