Wanna be gifters beware! Cash Gift Generator (CGG) is a bogus gifting program where the primary beneficiary is Steven Costabile. Yes, I know, I should have known better. My money is gone and I have written it off but this scammer has to be stopped as is taking money from several unsuspecting people each week. Don't fall for his laid back casual approach and his boldface lies as this guy is a real con artist and he is good at it.
First, he claims he has been signing up 3000-4000 members weekly in CGG but there are only 230 CGG websites in his system. This applies to both his www.cashgiftgenerator.com marketing sites and his www.thisisagift.com sign-up sites. 95% of the thisisagift sites were his direct signups.
On his website he entices people to join by offering a 5-day guarantee. This is for a $35 gift. He promises two $5 gifts within 5 days or your money back. He runs this as a 5 level program to show you his advertising works. ($35 is paid to him, he keeps $10 and five dollars is paid to each of 5 different people). When a person gets two $5 gifts, he is done, if not, he may ask for a refund or upgrade to other levels. They can also ask for a refund. I think he has probably honored (I hate to use this word with him) some of these refund requests but I have heard of others who didn't get their money back. The $35 option is Option 1 and there are still Options 2,3, & 4.
He also offers the Option 2-$500, Option 3-$1500 and Option 4-$3500 levels. A portion of these gifts will go to the person who shared CGG with you and a portion to the person who shared it with them (very similar to the People's Program in this respect). To entice one to join at the higher levels, he promises ad co-op shares in his marketing campaign. Enter at $500 and receive one co-op share for one month free, at $1500 receive two and at $3500 receive three. If you don't join, then he will periodically email you and offer double shares in the ad co-op. I came in at the $1500 level so I could get the double shares; it was a great enticement! After the fact, I now realize there were probably never any free co-ops.
Now, if you want to advertise on your own, the con man offers to set up your own Pay Per Click (PPC) campaign with keywords that will pull like crazy. Another enticement that sounds good to someone who wants to hit an opportunity hard and heavy, and knows little about how to setup PPC or get traffic to a website. I had him do this for me and ended up spending $700 with no sign-ups. I just find it hard to believe that I could have six co-op shares (over a 3-month period) and spend $700 on PPC and not get a sign-up if the program was really generating 3000-4000 sign-ups a month. Of course, now I know that is a BOLD FACE LIE as there are only 230 (as of this posting) active websites in the program.
A couple other enticements there are no admin fees ever, two free websites and he closes all your prospects for you. This is what makes the scam work. All the prospects you generate from your advertising goes directly to him so he can close them for you. This gives him all the control.
He also changed the sign-up link on emails to my prospects from my sin-up page to his own. I caught him red-handed on this. Even after I told him about this, he was still bold enough not to change it back to my link. The scammer is not only a bold face liar and con man, but also a THIEF.
When I told him I felt he was scamming me, he stalled by offering his help and gave me three more months of the BOGUS advertising co-op shares. He had this to say when I threatened him by saying I would post his scam on the internet. He basically laughed in my face. Read his response:
"I worked hard to get where I am at and that does not include
frauding people or scamming anyone, just good ole plain hard
work and creating systems to back up my work.
But whenever someone isn't successful they get all crazy, talking about
shutting down the program and that makes them happy to talk about
truth is I have a law firm on retainer and thick skin for crazy people who
think they can take down any company when they can't even build up
one of there own. - you don't like that I just wrote that and now you really
want to see me get shut down, but truth is I wont, cgg.com wont and you
will just end up wasting a bunch of your time on hold or searching through
Google for more scam reporter sites or whatever and at the end of the day
you gained nothing, you will feel empty and that's just an unhealthy state
of mind for anyone to be in."
He continues to say "but all the negative smear campaigns, blog posts, you tube videos or whatever else you think is an original idea to strike back at me and cgg.com it will all be
futile and you will just not like the person you have become.
And actually the blog posts, or anything else that goes live online
will actually serve as free advertising for cgg.com - and we will gain
new community members from it, that's just how the media is."
Quite an arrogant pig, isn't he? Well, I'm sure he is right about getting more traffic from this report, as some will want to see how I fell for all of this. I'm warning you that he has very good sales copy/videos on his website and is very convincing with his laid back down to earth approach. Don't fall for all his lies and fake testimonials or you'll be back here yourself adding to this report.
