We purchased Prophet CRM with the understanding that it would work with our IT platform. This was not true. The setup was much more difficult than we were led to believe. We used the product for approximately 3 months, and it was never running properly, at any point.
We were told we needed to purchase certain third party applications that would be very cheap, $50 or so, in order to have the system integrate with Exchange, as this was what our email system was using. We bought this third party app and installed it. After creating thousands of duplicates in our CRM, it eventually caused our entire system to crash. We tried reinstalling it and it happened again. The only other companies selling this app/extension were selling it for thousands of dollars, not $50. We were told this plug-in would be at the most $50. Nor were we told we would be given no tech support.in fact, just the opposite, everybody we spoke with along the way told us Prophet was the easiest thing to install, and a much better solution than Outlook BCM b/c of the incredible support we would receive. Well the incredible support was almost always delayed, wrong person, cut short, couldn't help us with a particlar aspect, etc... Prophet offered no assistance on this third party product, nor did they seem to have any idea what we were trying to do at any point of the installation. We just wanted our contacts to be mirrored exactly on our laptops and mobile devices. They acted as if nobody had ever tried to do this.
And scheduling installation calls, tech support, took days to weeks. Much too long for any fast-paced business.
We have tried from the beginning very hard with Avidian but we were incorrectly sold on how easy Prophet would be, and it really has never been easy. When we finally realized that these problems were not going to end, we decided to invoke our right to cancel under the terms our Account Reps offered to us. We were then informed that we would not be receiving a refund for the Prophet Pro product, even though our account rep and I agreed on this, claiming we misinterpreted their offer and made an incorrect assumption, when, in fact, it was they who made the assumption that we would be paying for a system that never worked and for which we invested thousands of dollars in hardware that we will never recoup.
And for Avidian not to go back on their promise of refunding our money from the original product that did not ever work correctly, is irresponsible at best and criminal at worst. We have invested over $2K in new hardware which we were told we would need in the beginning of this fiasco. We cannot return these products. The least they can do is return the money for the digital software which costs them nothing, but cost us months of wasted time and lost opportunities.
