Complaint / Review
Ning.com, Ning, Inc
Scammed us!

Two years ago, I set up several social networks on ning.com. At that time, ning warranted to all of us Network Creators (NC's) that these would always be OUR networks. Ning assured us that we owed the entire network we created, and could leave with it if we ever wanted to move our site to another platform. That was a total con job by ning.
Based upon these promises by ning, I invested many tens of thousands of dollars, around $80,000, in building these networks. Now I have several networks on ning that are essentially worthless to me and valuable only to ning. Ning clearly scammed thousands of NC's like me.
One heck of a lot of NC's who were trying to run a business on ning, all seem to be saying the same thing, and still continue to express these facts:
1. We were conned, manipulated, and duped by ning.
2. Ning conspired to set up up and put us into a position wherein we have almost worthless networks that we cannot export.
3. Ning fundamentally violated their contract with us.
4. Ning failed to protect the interests of bona fide business people only to further the interest of ning, all at our expense.
5. We lost many thousands, or tens of thousands of dollars, and copious amounts of time, when ning shafted us.
6. Ning materially planned to launch a competing network that would fundamentally and effectively sabotage the hard work we put into what were allegedly supposed to be "our" networks.
7. Ning abused it's power by encouraging thousands of serious NC's to build large networks, under the pretense (and GUARANTEE) that we export and move "our" networks at any time, that we owed the code, the content etc etc etc, and incrementally eradicated those warranties over time.
8. Ning charged us for what was clearly supposed to essentially be a non branded network, yet plastered the ning brand everywhere in the non-removable TOS and then with the ning.com launch.
9. Ning tortuously interfered with my business relationships with my clients, a/k/a members.
10. Ning has essentially stolen my thousands of members from me.
For the REAL chronology on how ning cleverly planned on exploiting, and then indeed did exploit, thousands of hardworking Network Creators into becoming what they thought would be the new big social network, read this from a site called chartingstocks[dot]com:

If the above link does not show, just google "ning scam" or "ning complaints" and go to chartingstocks[dot]com to read the story.
If you also lost many [tens of] thousands of dollars, and many [thousands] of hours of time building a ning network, only to be duped, conned and deceived, with a network that ning has been fully exploiting, which may well be totally worthless except to ning itself, and if you wish to litigate this matter, contact me at radioairwaves[at]gmail.com.
I am NOT a lawyer, but I am a ning victim and I am preparing to sue ning to recover my out of pocket damages of many tens of thousands of dollars, as well as punitive damages for fraud, unfair and deceptive trade practices etc.
I have already had many parties interested in suing ning contact me. We can do more as a team than as individuals, by pooling info and exchanging law firm info etc.
If you also feel totally reamed by ning, then do something about it!
