I applied for a job on craigslist, and within minutes, got a response. Weird, because no one recruits employees at 9:30 pm. When I responded to get more information about the job and how risky it sounded, she, AKA, Christy Longo, never replied back. I did some searching. I noticed on the site recruiteamerica.info they listed partners. I googled the partners for only recruit america and got the real site with this warning!
Web Warning:
There is some scam involving the website http://recruitamerica.info/
They appear to be some kind of credit scam.
They have nothing to do with www.recruitamerica.net
Hopefully they will shut down.
I emailed all the companies they say are their clients to let them know, even though, I'm sure not much can be done. On the site if you right click the page to veiw the source you can actually see a tracker they coded on the web site. It looks like this...
Var pageTracker = _gat._getTracker ("UA-8942727-1");
pageTracker._trackPageview ();
} catch (err) {}
This way they can track your IP address, get your home address, and phone number if you have a land line. I'm not sure who all they use to post jobs through, but this happened on CRAIGSLIST! I was very stupid to apply for that post, or any on craigslist for that matter. They just need your social for a credit scam. Remember... Recruitamerica.info or [email protected].
