I was online and received a pop-up that appeared to be real. It said my computer was infected and I should download and pay a one-time charge of $99.90 to protect my computer from the trojans and viruses. I was too trusting, thinking I was doing the right thing. This morning the software does not exist on my computer and I now find out it is a fraudulent company just out to steal your money. I just called my credit card company and even tho they see the pending transaction, they cannot help me stop this. They will help me dispute this charge only after it posts on my account.
I sure wish I hadn't been so trusting and had checked this out before I downloaded this fake company's software that appears real, but now I find out I have the task of getting this trojan/worm off of my computer before it does anymore damage.
This company needs to be stopped! Immediately.
