I looked at my bank statement yesterday and found that on the 15th of May, a debit was initiated by Google Chest (whoever they are) and taken out of my account on May 19th.
The statement had a phone number which I have called several times. You get the basic "all our lines are busy, call is important to us" etc. And then the music starts playing, a nice light Jazz tune. Funny thing is, when you call them back the music starts again at the same place!
Uhh, usually when you are calling a company and they have music while you are on hold, its "live" (for lack of better term) sometimes its a radio station, sometimes its a tape, but it keeps going, it doesn't start over again at the same place each time the phone is answered.
Also there is no "thank you for calling *company name*" The message starts off by saying something like "Please hold for customer service" but does not say "thank you for calling *company name*"
These two points make me think that what I am getting when I call is a recording that is not going to be answered! (they haven't answered yet) I have no way of knowing what their website (if they have one) or their address is.
I just called the company that sent me a CD-ROM about how to make money from Google, and this is the only other business that I have done with Google. They sent the CD-ROM for the shipping cost (I think) in April.
Anyway, Mike answered the phone, asked what my first name was, what my last name was, and if I could verify my street address. After I told him my street address there was a "beep beep" and the line went dead. I checked to see if I perhaps had a call coming in or something like that, but nothing.
So I don't know if you guys can help, but I feel better just venting.
