My mother received her phone bill from Qwest in Febuary around the first week, and she found two odd phone bills that were not from, or to anyone that she had knew at all. They were from Integretel Company, with both being billed as 3 minutes each for $40 apiece.
She called her phone company, and after having to haggle for almost an hour with two operators, they finally took off the billings from her bill and put a stop on her number being used by this Integretel Company. The two operators told her that Integretel was some website for music, and internet games and that she had something in a program downloaded from this site, and the bill of $80 was placed on her phone.
Both operators had no idea in this world how things are charged on the internet, but continued to ask her ridiculous qestions. She had to explain that she did not have teens who used her computer, and that she was not using it for music, games, or whatever.
Lo and behold, the bills showed up again as a new one for one $40 for 3 minutes, again htis month despite the stop. Finally, her internet server ofund out about the company by looking it up and told her they were a fraudulent communications company, and would "cram" phone calls through their system onto unsuspecting victims, until you get your bill. When will something be done about this illegal company?
