MyFreightWorld may soulnd like a great solution initially for a small 3PL but for those who are looking for an honset company, do not use them, you will find many things are hidden from your view on purpose.
Here are some issues we have seen and documented.
1: You are paid on COPT, not the carriers cost. MFW has presented to you blaoted rate since they have negotiated FSC and accessorial charges they do not pass along to you. There is no way to see carrier cost, ever!!! You will never see a carrier invoice, ever!!! This is because they are charging you more than what the carrier is charging. Go ahead, ask for one!
2: They are not fully automated. You will see missed liftgates, missed pickups, lost shipments and it tends to take hours before you can get any answer. And they do not care to help you build your business
3: Customer accounts: You have no control over your accounts. You have to email everything and they do not respond fast. If you need to change an email address, you must email them. Need to change a phone number? You have to email them. Need to rapidly lower a discount to get the business? You will not be able to. You have to email that in and it is NOT instant!
4: Rates changing on slaes reports versus initial booking. This is something we see with our sales report alot. The sell cost is different from report on sales. This can be up or down but it is ALWAYS inconsistant. I feel it is because they have so many parameters that they use to skim profit that errors are bound to happen.
The biggest issue is that what they tell you the cost is, that is a lie. If they were telling you the cost, you would be able to see the carrier bill. I suggest you try other vendors who will not hide cost and show you their invoices. All of the above info has happened to us and we have documented all of this in case they try to sue.
