Pressplay.com is an online music service, from which you can download tracks and burn them to CD for a fee. That is not the problem. Problem is trying to cancel.
I have not been terribly unhappy with them, but with my schedule, it was a waste of $9.95 a month, so I cancelled, noting that my next billing date was 3/31/03.
I cancelled on the 29th, but found this morning that my Visa had been charged. I called them and was told that the debit actually went in on the 28th and "you're stuck for another month", and they refused to reverse the charge. It isn't the $9.95 as much as the principle of the thing and the attitude of their CSR, which causes me to file this report. They refused to issue a credit, fine, so I will dispute the charge with Visa.
Other services are much better and have honest billing practices and better customer service.
