AND Hotbooksale.com Internet phishing, false sale of item not in stock and unauthorizes membership fee charge! Online Delaware and Florida

I ordered a book off of a website and never recieved my product. I look on my bank statement and see that I was never charged for the book, but I did have a $19.95 charge for SmartSavingsCenter.com.

Not knowing what this was I go to the website and again, it is nothing I have seen or heard of before. I call the number and I was told that when ordering the book, in the terms and conditions of that website it was listed that I would be charged $19.95 after a 7 day $1 trial for the SmartSavingsCenter.com benefits.

They said that I recieved an email with my access information and a notice that I had 7 days to cancel, I never recieved an email from this company!

I asked for the charge to be refunded and they refused. I then asked if I needed to cancel this, would they be charging me again. Yes, monthly. I told them to cancel me now.

I then proceeded to go to the website that I orginally made a purchase and called them to ask where my book was. I told them it had not been charged on my account and it was suppose to have arrived already. She then told me that the book was on backorder for at least another 2 weeks!

When I ordered the book there was never any mention of it being on back order, nor did I get any emails for the company. I asked what their policy was on updating their website to show something is out of stock. She said they emailed customers to let them know, but again I never even recieved an order conformation from them the day I ordered!

So now looking back, I used a search engine to find this book to purchase. I purchased this book from a company that knew good and well they didnt have the book in stock and could not ship it as quoted and then in the fine print they charge me for NOTHING, a month membership at an online website to save something, but I never even had access to get into in the first place!

Come to find out that hotbooksale.com and smartsavingscenter.com are the same company! When I asked the lady at hotbooksale.com she said they are not, but the BBB has them listed at the same address!
