Complaint / Review
Gamepal, Inc
Strikes again: FRAUD/THEFT

I purchased a product from Gamepal.com for $147 off of their web site on 6/13/08. I was promised electronic delivery from 1- 24 hours. Days passed, and I received no contact, although the money was delivered/accepted via PayPal. I made continuous/numerous attempts to contact Gamepal.com; however, they would not respond. I used their 24/7 live on-line chat service, which worked initially - twice. Each time I was told to be patient and delivery would be made soon. Delivery was never made and attempts to contact them again resulted in the on-line function being disabled. Continuous requests for a status update resulted in 1 e-mail requesting that I be patient and that they would forward my issue to an accounts manager. When I requested the contact info for their account manager, all contact was severed. Unfortunately I smelled the scam too late, after having given them my money. My research on Gamepal resulted in several sites, including this one, that listed charges of lying, fraud, and theft. My situation and story of dealing with Gamepal is echoed in every story on this site and many more. I have contacted PayPal, escalating my complaint to a 'Claim'. I also forwarded details from this site to let them know how Gamepal had lied to them in the past about having already paid victims off. I informed PayPal that I wanted my refund, should one come, ONLY be conducted through them so they can monitor the situation/transaction and not be manipulated anymore. I asked PayPal to look into this company - although they make money completing these transactions with Gamepal, I informed them they were aiding and abetting criminals in defrauding and stealing money from people. I urged them to cut all ties with the company in the future.

I wrote Gamepal to inform them I was aware of their scam now and demanded my money. I am not optimistic based on the stories I have read. I also informed the, however:

Unless my money is returned immediately, I will file charges with the FCC and contact the FBI as fraud and theft across state lines and having companies/HQs in several different states (NC, California, etc) is definitely in their jurisdiction. I will also take action through my bank and VISA against your company, notifying them (and the FBI) of the dozens of cases of internet fraud and theft. I will also contact the Sherrif's department in Raleigh to investigate. Ialso intend to contact every consumer report magazine/on-line site/National TV and media source, every talking head - like Bill O'Reilly to get anb expose done on your company and its fraudulent practices. I will contact every gaming magazine, company, sponsor, etc and also make sure you get lots of coverage!

As I said, at this point, all I want is my $147 reurned via transaction through Paypal, and our association ends. If this does not happen, I have a new mission in life!

I will try to contact other victims and gauge their interest in filing charges with the FBI against Gamepal for fraud and theft - this company has HQs in several states and perpetrates crimes across multiple state lines. It is about time Gamepal's fraudulent crime spree comes to an end!
