I placed an order on October 4. Yes, more than a year ago. My card was charged for $176.23 immediately and the wait began. I wanted the dishes for LAST Thanksgiving. The e-mail runaround cited problems with the order, problems with the shipment from the manufacturer. All kinds of problems. I was told I needed to wait 8 weeks for this or that and they were checking with the company and blah, blah, blah.By spring, I was tired of waiting and they told me they were checking with the manufacturer since my order would be drop-shipped from Villeroy and Boch.By the end of May, still no dishes. I told them to cancel the order and I asked for a refund. No response. I requested the refund several times through the summer and early fall. Still no response.in October, I wrote Villeroy and Boch, letting them know they were being blamed for never shipping me my order and I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau in Matthews. The BBB has responded to me twice, telling me that Placesettings has never responded to their inquiry. Villeroy and Boch has responded that they are looking into the order. Not surprisingly, NO response from Placesettings. I wish I had known about your site before I ordered as it appears I am hardly the only person ripped off by this company. This is the first and only time I've ever had an Internet order go bad and I learned a lot along the way. This company needs to be held accountable.
