I ordered the sample CDs on 8/5/05. On 8/6/05 I checked the company on the internet and found many bad reports so I decided to cancel. On 8/6/05 I received an e-mail stating I had cancelled my membership subscription and that I would not receive any more software CDs from Manay. The e-mail also stated that I had nothing to return.
On 8/23/05 my Discover card was charged for 39.90.in trying to talk to a customer service representative she informed me that I had agreed to something and I was responsible even though I cancelled. She would not listen to me so I finally had to hang up. I have contacted Discover Card and they will attempt to contact Manay. The next thing for me to do is cancel my Discover Card which seems like a harsh measure for me.
I sent them an e-mail yesterday to which they have not responded. I think their business practices are very deceptive. I don't believe the e-mails they show on their web sites.
