Misconduct-breach of privacy

Google are trying to force people to supply personal information for open display on the web. This is directly against all the advice and common sense precautions one should take when online. They are NOT entitled, and do NOT have my permission, to display my name for all the world to "look up" and "connect" with me. That is the very reason why I chose an obscure name, to avoid and stalkers. I already HAVE all the friends I need, and everyone already knows my email alias.
You have to "lodge an appeal" to ask them if you can keep using your alias as an identifier, and after explaining the above reasons to them, they still had the nerve to decline, and rejected my appeal! The absolute NERVE of these people! Are they a government department, that is ENTITLED to my personal data? No. When did they move from being useful to police-state spy status? This episode is so wrong, on so many levels. This is proving that that squishy, fun, innoffensive tool that we controlled, is now turning into a monster that's demanding control over US. They also don't identify in the first person, but as "The Google Team", thereby maintaining their own personal privacy.
