When we were in Carrollton, Texas our Doctor Jose Burbanos perscribed my wife Remeron for depression. My wife has liver disease and she became depressed when Dr. Burbanos told her "she did not have long to live" My wife has been fighting this disease for ten years and no doctor has told her she did not have long to live. She did not even qualify for the donor list at the time.
My wife was taken to the hospital for seizures related to and caused by REMERON two times and hospitalized for 4 days, resulting in over $42,000 in medical bills and possibly permanent damage to her liver and brain.
The doctors who treated my wife for the seizures caused by REMERON advised that REMERON should not have been perscribed to her. It is our contention that neither the makers of REMERON nor Dr. James Burbanos did their duty to make sure that:
A. The dangers of REMERON were known to her.
B. REMERON was not perscribed to her as a liver patient.
C.interactions with other medications would not occur.
