I also fell for the gleaming white smile scam. I ordered the free trial for teeth whitening gel, understanding that I would only pay $6.95 shipping. Immidiately after, I received an email stating that this transaction gave the company authorization to automatically send me the whitening gel each month and would automatically charge my account about $70.00.
Immediately after this I sent them an email back to cancel the order. I received confirmation on the cancelation with a confirmation number, yet they still continued to charge my account. I made several attempts to contact this company via email (gleamingwhitesmile.com) and by phone, (1-877-470-7102) which I found on my checking account statement, but never received any responce or an answer at the phone number. I called my bank and had my account numbers changed so that no future transactions could be deducted from my account.
Gleaming White Smile is a fraudulent company and I came to this realization after calling the 800 number and hearing a list of several "company names" of which Gleaming White Smile was choice #10, which you had to choose from in order to reach an operator, which I could never reach.
Don't let this happen to you, if it already has, contact your bank or credit card company and explain to them what happened so that your account number can be changed.
