Uncaring!

I came into the emergency room. Rang bell twice before anyone came to the door. Came in doubled over in sever pain. I was the only person there being treated at the time. A male nurse put in an IV, very professional! That's the only part of my experience that was good. Next I had my scan done and was told I had a large kidney stone. I was taken to a room and they gave me fluids & Demerol pump for the pain. When I used the botton a few times the pain was slowly starting to be able to handle. I used it exactly as I was told. They replaced the syringe pump & fluids. I finally thought the pain was under control and it was. I could finally pass urine. I used it not as often as I did the day b4. I had a few sharp pains once in a while but I expected that. What I didn't expect is that Dr. Yashey would come in and asked how my pain level was. I told him I was feeling much better, I still had a sharp pain once in a while but I told him that was fine. He replied by taking the pump & demerol away and decided a small shot every eight hours would work just as good. Well it wasn't 10 minutes I was crying so hard I couldn't Breath from the pain. It was like I went right back to the night b4 10 fold.

There were so many people that couldn't get the nurses to even answer their page's much less actually bring them their pain meds when they asked over 4 times for them. I know of 4 people that walked out the same as I did. They just didn't seem to care or even want to help their patients. They were very rood and would get upset if they had to help you out the door or if you needed something. I felt as if I was there n all that pain and no one even cared.

My husband came in with a 103 degree fever and sharp pains in his head. They were very rude &treated him like he was some kind of drug seeker or something. My personal opinion I wouldn't trust them to care for a dog much less people they would tell people that they would b right there and they would have to call for them 2 or 3 more times. It would b diffrent if they were actually doing something but all they were doing was talking about patients behind their backs. There is a gazebo smoking area and when they go smoke you can here them talking about who has the worst patient and who smells the most. People that take that profession should help their patients instead of making them feel like the lowest person on earth. One nurse actually had the nerve to tell my husband, with a 101 fever that nothing is wrong with him. He should just go home. Why would you tell someone that when they feel like their dyeing anyway. Someone needs to help your hospital get their act together before people end up dying over this.
