This was my first and will be my last time ordering from Zenni Optical.
I ordered a pair of prescription glasses, I was attracted by the raving reviews in Slickdeals.net, and I believed it! The ordered were expensive, and I thought I got a slick deal! I was so excited to see my glasses arrived until I see its cheap plastic and flimsy frame. It's so obvious that it can break if I apply a little force. When I flipped open the temples, the plastic released this loud bending noise. This made me very uncomfortable, I feel like I would break it any minute. The lens were not aligned perfectly to the frames either.
I didn't call Zenni Optical (I never want to argue in the phone because I probably know how this would turn out); I emailed them about the problem anyway. Zenni Optical immediately said I can get 50% refund instead of offering a solution to this bad glasses. Zenni Optical said all their glasses had passed their Quality Inspection. I felt so ridicule, I questioned the standard of the Inspection. Then they said I can mail it to their office for an inspection, so they can mail it back to their manufacturer to fix it. And I had to pay shipping for the troubles Zenni Optical made. I questioned them about whether they checked their frames before mailing it to me. Obviously even if they do, they would mail it to me anyway (wow, 50% profit from a returned order is so easily made!). I already know that all this arguing and complaining would make no difference, but I did anyway. I tried not to feel angry against the customer representatives because even if they feel sorry for my bad orders, they can do nothing since the company itself is already so rotten.
I expected changes made to my glasses when I received it in the mail again, there were obviously none. I questioned Zenni Optical, and they said the lenses are being readjusted to the frames. Ridiculous, obviously any dummies would know that this wont fix the frames! Further complaints would just upset me more. I immediately issued a refund, doesnt care that half of my money is being stolen. Even if the refund is lower than 50% I would still do it! I called myself very unfortunate to run into Zenni Optical.
Seeing their website is being remodeled is just disgusting. I cannot imagine how much of these rip-off income is used to hide their immorality. Feeling so upset, I wrote my experience in Slickdeals.net. The first reaction I got was mocking me, what did you expect at that price? My Slickdeals account was immediately banned, I made another account and posted another comment against Zenni Optical. My account got banned again. I started to doubt the relationships between the people in Slickdeals.net and Zenni Optical.
The mark Made in China has become so sensitive. I see posts that stereotypes China, I try not to feel that way because I dont want to make any negative comments about a country just because something is made there. I believe a country is a country, and people is people. Zenni Optical is just immoral, their products are cheap, this cannot accuse that all products made in China is bad. This is how I feel.
