Haveing outpateint surgery, at preop the staff insist on a $200.00 down payment on the 20% of the bill that the insurance dont cover before the surgery and we dont know what the bill will be yet? We have been with this hospital for many years and never had to do this. Is this legal? Or is the hospital haveing finance troubles or is my insurance not paying them? I feel this is an insult.
