In September, I was contacted via email by Stephenie Brown, who was interested in placing my bath and body products in her new shop, Nature's Herbal Health & Beauty, located at 3732 Lorna Road in Hoover, Alabama (near Birmingham).
After several email discussions, I agreed and we signed a formal contract. From September to December, I sent Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) $558 worth of products. I told her that some products have a shelf life and told her she should remove any products from her shelves if they started to look faded, etc. She told me she would. I contacted Stephenie Brown periodically via email to see how things were going. She told me that my contacting her irritated her very much, so I stopped contacting her on December 16.
During this time, Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) sold four of my products, for which I was eventually paid $18.34 via PayPal. This amount included a deduction of. 86 imposed by PayPal.
On March 3, I had heard nothing from Stephenie Brown regarding the sale or condition of my products since December 16. It was clear to me that the products were not selling well and that I should get them back from her, because they were now approximately five months old. On March 3, I sent an email to this effect to Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty). We had a disagreement regarding the terms of the contract, and an exchange of ugly emails ensued.
On March 9, Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) told me that she would return my products to me as soon as she got back to her store and that the return would be made within two weeks.
Perhaps the most suspect thing of all in this, is that I offered to save Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) the trouble of having to properly pack up the items by offering to send a representative (who lives in the area) to her store to make the pick up. Stephenie Brown became angry and refused my offer.in fact, she forbid me, my representative, or any member of the Alabama soap organization from setting foot in her store.
On March 10, I formalized the termination of our contract and sent Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) a written letter via email and certified mail. She refused delivery of the certified mail letter. I stated in my letter that she was to return the products within two weeks (according to the terms of the contract). The deadline for receipt of my products was March 24. I have not received my products, nor has Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) contacted me to make any other arrangements.
On March 26, I contacted Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) via email giving her one last chance to contact me to work things out. I told her to either send my products immediately, or to send me a cashiers check or money order for their value. I gave her until midnight CST to respond. I told her if I did not hear from her, that I would post the statement of the facts on this website and would also file a formal complaint with the BBB.
As of March 27, Stephenie Brown (d/b/a Natures Herbal Health & Beauty) has not responded and has not made any effort to return my products or make payment for same.
I swear that what I have written, above, is the absolute truth.
