Beware! I'm again hearing radio ads of the hydroxatone scam. Unlike those of us who see it on the internet and can google, the complaints, people in their cars listening to the radio don't have that luxury. Hydroxatone takes FULL advantage of this fact. Here is how this is deceptive advertising, therefore, violating consumer protection laws.
-Hydroxatone lies and claims it is free to try to the product. This wording automatically leads consumers to think this is a free sample.
-They get your credit card number for "shipping", making the product NOT FREE to begin with
-they do NOT mention the fact that the real reason behind getting ur card number is to continually charge you without authorization.
-THIS IS THE BEST POINT-Hydroxatone claims that this is a "special announcement for women in your area". They claim that this is something special, that you can get what is made out to be a sample for free. The way it is worded leads consumers to believe that this is only happening where they are, so this must be something good and local.in fact, it is NOT special to your area. Their website offers this "free" oppurtunity to EVERYONE IN THE WORLD through their website. This is deliberate deceptive advertisement.
-Hydroxatone claims that "This is your last chance to try this product for free before it is sold nationally in stores."- In fact, there is NO evidence that Hydroxatone is EVER going to be sold in stores. The reason is that this product was made to be a free trial scam. Why would they EVER be sold in stores? THE WHOLE POINT IS TO TRICK YOU INTO HANDING OVER YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER TO CHARGE YOU WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION EVERY MONTH WITH OUTRAGEOUS INFLATED CHARGES! They would not be able to do this in stores, so this will actually NOT be sold in stores, therefore, this is deliberate false advertising again.
BEWARE! Do NOT fall for their lies. If you do, be sure to record ur phone conversation of ur cancellation. There are numerous complaints filed against them, because even after u cancel, they relentlessly continue to charge. Also, u need to give this evidence to ur bank or credit card co. Then change ur numbers. If they send u out product after that, ur bank has proof u canceled! Under united states law, u may consider it a gift. U do not have to pay for it or send it back. Remind hydroxatone and the collection agency of this law. It is illegal to harm ur credit score because u will not allow them to commit theft.
