I heard a radio advertisement for Strax Rejuvenation Plastic Surgery www.straxrejuvenation.com claiming cheap breast implants. I think the radio commercial i heard was for first time breast implants for around $3000.
My husband and I went to strax at the Lauderhill location and met with their "top" breast augmentation surgeon. I am not putting his name in this complaint as i fear a lawsuit, which i have read online is happening. I met with the surgeon for nearly an hour, took photos, discussed my expectations and made the decision book my surgery.
Excited at the notion of having my breasts enlarged (fixed) back to their size before i gave birth to 3 children, i didn't stop to think of the ramifications even though it was "surgery". I just wanted to look in the mirror and see my old self.
The surgery was a disaster. The morning of my surgery there were probably 10 other people waiting to get their surgery too. I should have known. Thinking back we looked like cattle. I would have never let my daughter go through that experience. I don't know why i didn't see the warning signs.
The results, one of my breasts is much smaller than the other. I went back to Strax twice to see the surgeon and was only able to see him once. The other time i had to see someone new, but both of them told me it was perfectly normal swelling. After months i went to another surgery center for a second opinion. It turns out Strax put a smaller implant in one of my breasts, much smaller.
Strax refuses to perform surgery again without charging me, even though they caused this. I had to take a private loan out because it is very apparent and i have become self conscious. The WORST PART is that no other surgeon will perform the operation because they do not want to be liable to FIX STRAX's mistake. I feel and look worse than i did before surgery, or so i think.
All i can say is don't shop for surgery based on price. That's where i went wrong and in the end, time, money and mental anguish it will cost me even more.
If you are Strax reading this and feel like making good on your mistake i would like my money back, i think i at least deserve that much. Do not offer me surgery to fix this, i made that mistake once, never again.
