I am ashamed to say that I purchased as website business opportunity from healthbiz.com, now known as healthbuy.com. For 49.95, (however, they charged my card an extra 5 cents) you got a website with completely loaded products. They offer a 40% commission on all sales. I figured for that amount of money, what could possibly be wrong (silly me). I could drive traffic to now my own website with my own website name loaded with their products.
Once I completed the purchase transaction, I thought "oh, what about duplicate content?" That, as any webmaster knows, is a google no-no. So, I wrote to the company through which I joined: Healthbiz.com, and questioned them on how to work around this issue. I heard from no one.
Also, and much to my dismay, there was absolutely no contact information on the healthbiz website and no webmaster support information or phone number. When you call the only toll free number you can get your hands on (which is to order only), it directs you to customer care at healthbuy.com where you find the exact same problem... No phone numbers and no address to contact anyone! I even went so far as to re-read the terms of service and found an address of [email protected]. I sent a detailed email and got a delivery error from my service provider stating the this email address does not exist. NICE!
I take full responsibility for my "lack of research" on this company. Market Health (which used to be Joe Bucks) is supposedly a reputable website and affiliate program and this "opportunity" is featured on their site. However the charge on my credit card for the "business opportunity" is from Market Health. Wow this is all intertwined and getting worse by the minute!
Anyway, I have been duped. I will try to get a refund of my money and I will contact the attorney general's office in california and I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I essentially paid $50 for a domain name!
