Ok, so I fell for it. I carefully read all of the terms and conditions because I know that nothing is ever free. I understood them and decided that it was "risk free." What could go wrong?
Well, first they claim that your order should be sent out within 24 hours of ordering. I waited and waited and never got it. So knowing that I only had 14 days from the time it was SHIPPED to cancel, I began calling at day 9. Here is where it all begins.
I ordered on 2-17-09. Started calling on 2-26-09. Called three times in a row and got a recording that told me to wait for the next representative. Then, it would hang up on me. Called again on 3-2-09. Someone actually answered and they said they were so busy that they had to take my number and call me back. Yeah, right! I asked for a supervisor but of course no one was available so for laughs I left my number. No call back. I call again the next day and the same person answers asking to take a message. I hung up.
I decided to call my credit card company to see if the ridiculous $80 charge had been applied and sure enough, it had. My cc rep said that they recieve these calls about 30% of the time! I told them the situation and they suggested I cancel my card and get a new number. Otherwise, they could continue to bill me each month. I did that and now have no credit card for the next 7-10 business days. Great. I am also disputing the charge.
On 3-11-09 I decided to try one more time to formally cancel. Surprisingly, I get an actual person on the line who still tries to sell me this product. He puts me on hold and tells me I have to wait for a supervisor. The recording comes on and tells me I am caller number 53!!! I decide to wait thinking they assume I will hang up. Finally, it's my turn. I am next in line to talk to someone. Do you know what happened? They hung up on me!!! This is a scam. Don't fall for it and have to go through all of the problems I am going through now. Go to Walmart and just get it there.
