Advantage Healthcare of Charleston, SC uses many technigues to rip individuals off by offering Individual or Family Healthcare through use of temporary Business Names in different cities in the US. They this insurance as they know many individuals who are laid off are without health insurance and most cannot afford Cobra Insurance.
One name that has been used out of Cleveland, Ohio is United Businees Resources. They send yoy e-mails describing the plans they offer and act as agent to get you the best plan at the best rate.
Once you have signed up there is an upfront fee as in my case of $243.00 and then after that $144.00 a month for a family of two or $89.50 a month if you are single. They then tell you they will send you a packet with all the information, claims forms, and insurance cards within 45 days.
They keep the number of the person who signed you up, such as in my case Mary (last Name for now private). They give you an 888 number or whatever so you can contact with any questions and more benfits. This goes on by phone untill near the end of the 45 days at which time you have been encouraged that your package is on the way while they continue to charge your credit card the monthly installments. When you realize or suspect this package is not coming, you will not have, insurance cards and no insurance their e-mail addresses have been shut down, there phone numbers disconnected.
I along with many other citizens have received this same ripoff. I would think the media would be 2willing to help expose this scam and fraudulant action. This report will also be forwarded with documentation to the Teaxas Attorney Generals Office and to the FBI. I suggest all who have similar incidences do the same. Perhaps some attorney would like to take on a class action suit against this company and all involved in this wire fraud by e-amil and by phone accros all state lines.
