Allege that Sleep Country sells mattress sets with toxic fire retardant materials that have made me ill for over eleven months.
Allege Sterns & Foster $1387.34 mattress set contains chemical toxins that "off gas" daily producing symptoms that are readily apparent to consumers: headache, fatigue, difficulty breathing, sinus problems, cough, dermatitis, sleeping difficulties, runny nose and sore throat.
Chemicals may include formaldehyde (H2CO), trichloroanisole (TCA), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), vinylidiene chloride (VC), boric acid and/or antimony.
Sleep Country, Stearns & Foster, Sealy Corporate officials are slow to address concerns; quarantine mattress sets; take proactive measure to test chemical toxicity; utilize federally recognized testing and monitoring devices; unwilling to communicate or work with state and federal health officials; unwilling to pick up or remove mattress set from our resident in a timely manner.
Sleep Country, Stearns & Foster, Sealy Corporate officials do not provide consumers with information about potential effects of placing a dust mite cover membrane over their mattress sets that may prolong H2CO, TCA, PBDE, VC or other chemical off-gasing. Many consumers place dust mite protective cover over their new mattress set upon mattress set being received and placed on foundation or Hollywood frame.

Please respond in kind if you report similar symptoms. This is a national health care disaster from my perspective. Buying another bed is an option but only if you off-gas the fire retardants well enough.
