I never realized that going on Facebook could be so expensive! I was just checking up on things when the ad for the acai supplements started to bombard me. Free Trial... Why not?
I received a 10 day triail bottle from Natural Acai Berry with a PO Box in Nevada. No sooner had I started using it (no miracles here, I might add) when another 60 capsul bottle arrives and there is a $69.95USD (88.85 Canadian!) charge on my credit card and neither package has a packing slip or any contact info included.
While checking on this charge with my credit card company I enquired about the X-Factor charge on my bill for a shipment of 4.95USD (6.43CDN) and they tell me that there is another charge pending for $84.00 and I have not received anything from this company yet.
While I was able to speak to someone at the Natural Acai Berry (#1-800-278-3620) they denied any affiliation with the other company. They did cancel any future orders and read out the 'terms' which I apparently agreed to when I ordered the 'free' sample. They also would not take any returned product and would not be crediting my account.
When I tried to contact the X-Factor company with the number on my credit card statement, the number would not go through for some reason.
I am filing a dispute with my credit card company but I don't know what will happen. My advice? Buy locally!
