Caring Companions lies about what they offer in home care services and the qualification of care givers they place in homes. They gurantee they do home inspections to ensure the home is safe and the person the care giver is taken care of "as promised". All lies! They placed a certified fork lift operator in my parents home, with NO previous experience. Within 5 days of his start date he move his family into my parents home to be with him. If the company went to the home to do the inspection they would have found liquor bottles in the care givers bedroom, dirty dishes in the sink, dads dirty diaper in the bathroom, trash that needes to be taken out, laundry that needed to be done, etc. Monday-Thrusday the care giver was not at the house from 9AM to 3PM he had access to my parents car and put over 1,500 miles in 25 days, from the day he started and the day I moved him out. It gets better! We reimbursed the care giver for reciepts he said he paid for, to find out later what we reimbursed him were costs actually paid for by my dad, the charges on his credit card showed up after the fact. Within two weeks of being in the home the care giver requested to be supplied with a house keeper and $1,000 a month budget for food for my dad! I notified Caring Companions what happen at the home after I moved the care giver and his family out of the house. I did not want to take the chance of the care giver harming my dad becaused I complained about him. Once the care giver was out of the house I was allowed to looked at what hours he billed Caring Companion, no suprise, he billed for hours he wasn't even at the house for, to date Caring Companions has ignored my request to be reimbursed completely for what was paid them on the grounds of their dishonesty. I was told they would get back to me, after they check their insurance to see if "mis-conduct by an employee was covered". You guessed it, Caring Companions has not accepted responsibilty for what happen, they tried to blame us for not contacting them while the care give what in the home.in other words "the consumer is to monitor Caring Companions employee and pay them for it. No wonder Caring Companion won't even return a call at this point. Consumer's please beware of them.
