I called Urgent Care of Omaha and asked them how much they charge for a visit. First it was difficult to get a straight answer, it all depends was the answer.
Finally I told them what I had beacuse I have had it before and they told me that it would be under $100.
I went in and before the doctor even listened to my chest, she told me that I would need a chest x-ray! Knowing that they did not get much business and was trying to jack up the price on me, I told the doctor no. That it was not necessary and was never done in the past. I signed a waiver saying that I denied the x-ray, got my perscription and was happy.
Soon after I get a bill from them for $150. I called and explained that they quoted me under $100. They called me back and the office manager (out of Norfolk, NE.) said that I had to pay the $150!
I called her back and she had nothing but excuses. I told her that it was bad business, that I would never be back and that I would tell everyone I know about it. She did not care! She said that their office visits start off at $150.
So, I busted out the video camera and taped myself calling their facilities on speaker phone. The woman who answered the phone at the facility that I visited on 88th and Maple said that their office visits range from $85 to $150!!!
Do not use this place even if you are dying. Wait a day or go to the emergency room. Very very shady!!!
