Custom Training / Michael Ranieri in Union, NJ is a fraud. I signed on with Custom Training and soon discovered it was not worth the high price I paid for 'personal training'. The website claimed to give all kinds of services and all it was was one trainer who only cared about money. During the winter months there was no heat in the facility and Michael Ranieri didn't want to turn on lights b/c it would 'cost him too much'. Working out at 6am in January, it's dark. He never once engaged in work-outs like previous trainers I had. Michael Ranieri just sat and 'watched' in-between tending to his personal business.
Several attempts to receive a refund from Custom Training/Michael Ranieri I wrote a letter to the Better Business Bureau.in the mean time I asked to be scheduled for sessions (not to lose my money). Here is a copy of the e-mail I received for the owner of Custom Training:
"you reported Custom Training to the Better Business Bureau and the case was CLOSED. Since you did that, I am deciding to exercise the policy on the contract and cancel your contract."
Nice... Retaliation by and owner, don't you think. Michael Ranieri is a terrible trainer and even worse business man. Don't get caught up like I did. There are MANY better personal trainers at less money then this jerk.
