I used wrong debit card. It was not mine. They refuse to credit the card back Internet

I used the wrong card to place an order. The card I used was not mine. The card was used on accident I tried to contact them to refund the money to the card but they regected it. Isn't it illegal to debit someones card when they did not make purchase or approve the purchase?
