I received a phone call today from Serena with True Care Advantage. She informed me that she had my membership cards ready to go but needed additional information from me. I stated to her that I did not sign up for anything with her company. She informed me that I did sign up in January. I told her that I did not. I asked her how she received my information. She said that I had applied. I again told her that I did not. She provided me with the website address. After looking at the web site, I KNEW that I had never applied to this company for their services-I did not provide them with any information as was asserted by Serena.
Later in the day I called the toll-free number Serena had provided (and is on their website) and asked for Serena. Serena had conveniently left for the day. I informed the woman who answered the phone that I never applied-she was very insistent on trying to get me to close the deal. I was hesitant to provide this woman with my information but finally did provide my phone number. When I pressed the woman for details as to how they received my name and phone number she stated that because I was refusing to provide information, they would automatically cancel my application and I had nothing to worry about, then she hung up on me.in all fairness, she did tell me to have a nice day before she hung up on me. I am now left not knowing what personal information of mine they have, nor how they got the information.
Interesting is that they called me on a number I never provide to anyone. I will be filing a complaint with my state's Attorney General's office.
