ITV Direct Media, ITV Global
ITV Global Customer Service that does not respond and never lets customer talk with superviso

I have also filled out the notification of disputed item and included that as well along with a letter describing the item in dispute and what has so far transpired since the order was originally placed.

I have attempted to contact the vendor repeatedly at the following numbers:
1.800.984.4840 (original number where order was placed) ITV infommercial, 1.800.240.3417 (referred from number from above) ITV Direct Media
1.800.779.7304 (credit card vendor number-Almighty Plants, 1.800.942.2443 (credit card vendor number-Almighty Plants-customer service)
1.800.653.8502 (referred from number from above) ITV Global, 1.800.944.0120 (referred from number from above) ITV Global,
1.800.215.0063 (referred from number from above) ITV Global

I have unsuccessfully been able to speak to a supervisor at any of the above telephone numbers in order to process a cancellation of the order as described below.

When talking with a customer service representative at ITV Global they also refuse to give their last name as well as failing to give the full first and last name of the customer service supervisor. Customer also attempted to contact the ITV global using their own internet address ([email protected]) sending the below written notification letter and they have also failed to also respond to an official written inquiry when a customer service representative acknowledged they have received it.

Due to the unusual nature of transacting business with this particular company I strongly believe I have been the victim of disturbing consumer deceptive advertising claims and practices as well as substandard customer service issues, inability for a supervisor to respond to a customer via verbal or written inquiry (see below letter sent to ITV Direct Media, ITV Direct, ITV Global) as I have not been able to talk to a supervisor or gotten a response to my internet mail message sent to (ITV Direct ITV Direct Media:
www.freenaturalcuresbook.com/customer-care. Cfm (sent twice), ITV Global-http://www.itvdirect.com/contact. As, tvdirect.com (sent once and confirmed received)

At every step of the way the customer service department at ITV Direct, ITV Direct Media, ITV Global both at the customer service representative and customer service supervisors level have basically obstructed the premise of basic customer service satisfaction and on that premise I am disputing the charge for this transaction as described, outlined, explained below (see below) and have been getting nothing but a run around which the customer should not expect to receive or get in a day to day daily routine business transaction type of environment.

As a result of the information that I have so far collected from my internet consumer research and investigations on the internet I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Busines Bureau against ITV Global as well as the Federal Trade Commission for consumer deceptive advertising claims and practices I will be also filing an accompanying associated complaint as well (http://www.ftc. Gov/os/caselist/0323064/070914brief. Pdf and http://www.ftc. Gov/opa/09/trudeau. Shtm).

Dear Sirs,

This is a chronological account and of the repeated oral communications attempts by customer with ITV Direct Media regarding cancellation of purchase in response to infomercial.

On Sunday, 30 September customer called to place an order with a customer service representative to get a book titled The Weight Loss Cure book authored by Kevin Trudeau on an ITV Direct Media television infomercial via Shop America.

It turns out the Kevin Trudeau was having a marketing promotional special where if the customer buys the 'Weight Loss Cure' book one could receive Kevin Trudeau's two other previously authored Natural Cure's titled books free of charge.

Well it turns out the books are not really free and one has to pay an additional $9.95 per book for each of the three book titles for a
total shipping charge of $29.85; along with the $14.95 charge for the 'Weight Loss Cure', the 'Natural Cure's Book' (free) and the 'More Natural Cure's Book' (free) for a combined total of $44.80 with a wait time of four to six weeks till the customer received the books.

I was also offered the accompanying free 30 day complimentary promotional marketing offer of the Natural Cure's website access as well Natural Cure's monthly newsletter with the stipulation that if a customer wished to continue receiving the Natural Cure's website and monthly newsletter after 30 days it would be $9.99 per month which I also accepted along with the order.

Also, in the ordering process with the customer service representative I did not accept any other further offers than those in the above two paragraphs; of which many more were made and all were refused verbally/orally. I also inquired and requested as a condition of the sale of the customer service representative if I would be receiving a confirmation internet mail verifying and confirming the order (she said yes), which I also supplied at the time of ordering; at the following internet mail address: [email protected] I also inquired of the customer service representative if the order shipment would be via shipping carrier tracked shipment (ie UPS Ground tracking code/Fed Ground tracking code) and they also replied by saying, yes. I took this specifically took this premptive, precautionary action to protect the rights as I understand them as a customer.

Two things struck me as rather odd and suspicious as to why was the shipping cost so absorbitantly high and also why was the shipping time was such a long time period of four to six weeks till the customer ultimately receives the books after the ordering telephone conversation.

After I placed the order with ITV Direct Media as documented above, I started to do some further investigating research based on my suspicions on the internet about Kevin Trudeau's three titled books above that he wrote about in the 'Weight Loss Cure' book, the 'Natural Cures' book and the 'More Natural Cures' book since I had four to six weeks till even receiving the ordered books.

What I found doing further research and via googling on the internet that Kevin Trudeau 'Weight Loss Cure' book according to the FTC
www.ftc. Gov/os/caselist/0323064/070914brief. Pdf) describes consumers who buy and read the book, they find it actually describes a complicated, expensive system involving daily HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin hormone) intramuscular injections of a prescription drug that is not approved for weight loss by the USFDA (how does one buy a prescription drug), take many specialized colonic cleanses by a licensed colon therapist (15 in a thirty day period), take many 20 minute infrared saunas, receive many massages, take homeopathic human growth hormone, limit exposure to fluorescent lighting, severe food restrictions (500 calories per day) for 21-45 days (anything less than 800 calories per day requires physician medical supervision, the consumer cannot use any medicines, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs, most cosmetics, and no creams, lotions, or moisturizer.

The FTC alleges that Kevin Trudeau deceptively claimed that the book establishes a weight-loss protocol that is 'easy' to follow and that once the protocol ends, consumers can eat what they want without regaining weight as the infomercial claims deceptively.

In any event needless to say, I was both alarmed, appalled and definitely no longer interested in ordering any of Kevin Trudeau's three listed/ordered books and/or for that matter subscribing to his Natural Cure's website or Natural Cure's monthly newsletter whatsoever as a result of finding out this factually misrepresented information and misrepresented claims made in his three listed/ordered books.

Logically of course, I attempted to call the same ordering number (1.800.984.4840) that I originally called to place the order so as to immediately cancel the original order that was placed the same day. When I spoke to the ITV customer service representative about cancelling the order that I place the same day they said they do not have access or even the ability to lookup that information on their computers and that my only recourse and option would be to call yet another ITV customer service number 1.800.240.3417 where they would cancel my order first thing Monday from 900-500pm as the ITV customer service at that telephone was closed until Monday.

On Monday, 1 October I called to speak with an ITV Direct Media customer service representative (1.800.240.3417) and clearly requested that I had no need or desire to either receive or review any further information from the 'Weight Loss Cure', 'Natural Cures', and 'More Natural Cures' books that was ordered originally from Sunday, 30 September. I announced I was calling today Monday, 1 October instead of yesterday Sunday, 30 September because your customer service number (1.800.240.3417) was not open on Sunday, 30 September in order to cancel the original order placed on Sunday, 30 September. The ITV Media Direct customer service representative said after the order is placed it cannot be canceled and that the best thing to do was wait for the ordered books to arrive and examine them free for thirty days which was four to six weeks away from arriving.

I once again clearly restated and again repeated that I had no desire to either receive or review the above three book's contents or materials due to the pending FTC litigation on the allegations of consumer deceptive advertising claims and practices regarding Kevin Trudeau's Weight Loss Cure, Natural Cure's, More Natural Cure's books www.ftc. Gov/os/caselist/0323064/070914brief. Pdf).

I also further explained, that I am certainly did not intend, envision or imagine myself doing any of things indicated listed in the above paragraphs when contemplating the purchase of the above books and monthly newsletter to lose weight. (http://www.ftc. Gov/opa/09/trudeau. Shtm, http://www.ftc. Gov/os/caselist/0323064/070914brief. Pdf, http://www.ftc. Gov/os/caselist/0323064. Shtm, http://www.ftc. Gov/opa/09/trudeaucoral. Shtm, http://www.ftc. Gov/os/caselist/0323064/040907stip0323064. Pdf, http://www.ftc. Gov/os/caselist/0323064/040629contempt0323064. Pdf)

I also in addition described how I later found out based on my original above disturbing consumer deceptive advertising claims and practice suspicions via further information gathering and research (see ftc weblink and googling links above) were all to true, on the Better Business Bureau BBB weblink (numerous unresponded to complaints and unresolved complaints as well (www.bosbbb.org/reports/reliability_report.Asp? FirmId=83494).

I also furthermore stated and explained I was not going to receive or review any book (s), monthly newsletter or website that claims
weight loss using certainly anything of a risky/complex nature such as physical intramuscular injection of a prescription drug (for weight loss purposes) was definitively a bad idea in the best scenario and downright dangerous in the worst scenario. I also described as well as explained performing an ordinary intramuscular injection let alone a prescription drug of HCG (human chorionic gondatropin hormone) is of a sufficiently risky/complex nature that an individual should definitely not undertake without medical supervision, as an individual can accidentally and unintentionally cause nerve and/or muscle damage at the intramuscular injection site if done improperly (one has to use the right sized gauge needle (s), select the appropriate right injection site to miss potential nerves and/or blood vessels that might be damaged, ensure the depth of the intramuscular injection site is deep enough but at the same time not to shallow to ensure proper dose delivery effectiveness of the prescription HCG (human chorionic gondatropin hormone sounds unproven at best and risky and dangerous at the worst).

I also moreover described and explained all that this does not at all sound anything at all sound like anything at all very easy, routine and/or laymens logical process to lose eight. On that basis, I am requesting officially both orally as well now via follow-up written notification as well; a cancellation of both the book order originally placed on Sunday, 30 September for $44.80 as well as for the cancellation of the free 30 day trial promotional offer (thereafter $9.99 per month) of both the Natural Cure's website and the Natural Cure's monthly newsletter to ultimately preserve my customer service rights now and in the future for business legal/consumer protection reasons.

I also stated I needed to send written notification to cancel any further future financial charges or initial financial charges from accruing for the 'Weight Loss Cure' book, the 'Natural Cure's book, the 'More Natural Cure's book, the Natural Cure's subscription website or the Natural Cures monthly newsletter. I also informed and notified the ITV Direct Media customer service representative to expect to receive follow-up written notification in the form of this official written notification letter of cancellation after he told me the physical mailing address of ITV Direct Media or ITV Media or ITV Direct was 55 Cherry Hill Drive, Beverly, Massachusetts, 01915.

I also notified the ITV Direct Media customer service representative if any financial charges appeared on my credit card billing statement now or in the future they would be immediately disputed and reverse charge backed for the described above book merchandise, the website service, the newsletter or any other product / service ITV Direct Media or its affiliates tries to charge now or in the future. I also requested the ITV Direct Media customer service representative have it also be posted and noted a reply to my written notification letter of cancellation within five business days upon receipt was also needed for confirmation/verification purposes as originally requested per telephone conversation to acknowledge cancellation process was verified and completed.
