Affiliated Acceptance Corp. Is a business that should not be allowed to strongarm consumers. I signed up with Golds Gym in Utah for personal training sessions. The personal trainers at these gyms work for Beyond Fitness (who have now changed their name by the way), NOT Golds Gym. I signed up for a 6 month contract. I paid on time every time and ended my contract. Affiliated Acceptance Corp. Even reported to the credit bureaus that I paid "satasfactorily/current/on time" and further reported my account as closed. I found out that I was getting billed for 3 months after my contract ended. I never realized it! I called Beyond Fitness and the manager said oh well you will have to work it out with Affiliated, but hey, you have already paid now, so lets get you trained again! I didnt want the hassle, and needed to have a trainer again, so I agreed, however didnt sign any new contract. I sent a registered letter to Affiliated canceling my contract figuring that would be the end of it. NOT! They just sent me a collections letter stating that I owe them for more sessions (I changed my debit card and got a new one so they couldnt keep billing me) and that I never cancelled. Attempting to resolve the matter with this company is not possible. They have not reported anything negative on my credit yet, however, if they attempt to I will file suit. NEVER EVER EVER sign up with a company that uses Affiliated for their billing. Fight this kind of mobster tactics! Put companies like this one out of business.
