The veterans Administration authorized payment for a cataract test and this firm accepted the letter of payment for said test.
This firm did some testing and then told me to come in for a second scheduled appointment, not telling me what for. I assumed it was a continuation of the cataract test. After the second visit they tried to schedule a third when I reminded them that this was a VA case and the letter was specific about what the VA would pay for and they had a copy of this letter in my file.
The VA paid the cataract test bill of 150 bucks. But then Kanter eye institute sends me a bill for 348.00 for the second visitfor a "consultation". I was never made aware of when the cataract test ended and any other expenses would be involved on my part. I sent complaints to them but they ignored it. I sent copis to the credit bureau but they still reported it to not one, but two collections agencys so double amounts now appear on my credit report. This firm is a ripoff and they knew the conditions of my payment and authorization from the onset. This shake abd bake outfit is a fraud. Veterans beware!
