AmeriPlan is ripoff. Here are the facts to my $395. Broker experience, nightmare and how they unethically terminated my income with no probable cause and kept my clients.
Their pathetic response to my Direct Selling Association Complaint was..."Read the fine print. We can terminate any broker for any reason or NO REASON".
By the way the "Direct Selling Association" is a farce. They have no intention of fair mediation.
From my personal experience, after working for AmeriPlan USA corporate division in their Provider Relations Department, (the task force that signs up the dentists and doctors into their provider network) this company has no intention of improving their product or improving the fundamental flaws of their company's protocol or standards.
I feel that the owners, Dennis and Daniel Bloom have no meaningful involvement what so ever and do not care about you, their doctor and dentist provider services, or delivering on any promise.
It is so sad. This company could be so close to having something powerful, but I think they all have gotten too greedy in the snowball of gullible excitement that their "leaders" push on the public.
Word of CAUTION: If you go to their meetings, stand up and ask questions and complain when they won't answer. They'll tell you to hold your questions till the end and then won't answer them while the audience is still there. They'll make you break down into smaller groups so the rest of the perspective brokers can't hear HOW they AVOID your questions.
Ask "HOW LONG" it actually took these RSD's to make the 1st step to "freedom". What a con, most of the people take over 1 year just to make the measly $1200. And it's COSTS $ to get there.
Ask to see these "checks" of thousands of dollars these "leaders" are supposed to be making.
Ask to see the receipts from these "testimonials" of people who apparently saved all this money.
They DO NOT exist. Everybody involved exaggerates.
WORD OF ADVICE: Go to their website and search for a dentist in your area FIRST. MOST have requested to be taken out of their network long ago and they will refuse to honor this discount card any more. I know from experience, IT WAS PART OF MY JOB TO CONTACT THESE PROVIDERS WHILE WORKING FOR THE HEAD OFFICE OF AMERIPLAN.
Just like ALL multi-level marketed companies, this company's primary concern is to sell you the dream, of selling the dream to others to who need YOU to be selling the dream, on a product that doesn't work.
There are no saving's with AmeriPlan's Discount Card. It doesn't work. It is a VERY hard sell to anyone with a brain. There are too many flaws in their system and in reality, it is not "residual" income when people keep dropping out. Especially the Brokers who you are supposed to be making money off of.
It's a number's game. How many gullible idiots can you sign up who are stupid enough to NOT look at their visa bill and cancel the card that doesn't work... If you get enough of them, maybe you could make money.
The entire head office is run by family members. Even their lawyer is the owner's daughter! The entire corporate staff is comprised of the head broker's siblings and relatives. There is so much nepotism, disorganization and corruption at the core of this company, it not only makes me mad, it makes me sick.
&... ON A personal note to Mr. Bloom.
Mr. Bloom, Why would you say to me, when I first informed you of my problem, "NO Way. I don't believe it. We don't fire people who are producing... Especially with those kinds of numbers, and there is NO quota to meet. There must be a misunderstanding. We've had this jealousy kind of problem before with Carol Garvy. Don't worry, I promise you, I will get back to you whithin 24 hours".
Then you not only do not have the balls to contact me back, but you have your foul mouth daughter harras me at my home?
You're sick. Do you enjoy torturing hard working single mothers? How do you sleep at night?
Just the facts.- I signed up as a broker. Paid $395.- I signed up brokers under me.- I enrolled "members".- I was then hired (while still being a broker) on a commission basis to call on doctor's for their NEW MEDICAL LAUNCH when they had absolutely NO medical doctors in Georgia, in their provider network!
Who the heck is going to buy a discount card to a provider network, that there are NO doctors even in???
- I did however make thousands of dollars MY VERY FIRST MONTH (but not as a broker, only as a worker for provider relations department) and AmeriPlan accused me of "throwing the contracts under the doors", which was nonsense. I sold to doctors in my past job. I knew this market and I out smarted the head office market plan and made my own scripts and marketing ideas. And I kicked ass! I was about to make $6,000. As a provider rep my 3rd month and they kept my money!
The truth is one rep got pissed I had her territory, another got pissed cuz I did her job better and made her look stupid.
Other provider reps got jealous and scared that a complete novice like me made them look bad because I simply did a better job.
I signed up 150 out of 300 doctors in 3 months while they sold 3 or 4 doctors a month EACH.
AmeriPlan terminated me, without notice or reason, kept my commissions for doctors I had signed and made it impossible to continue as a broker and gave my brokers and members to my up line!!!
When I was finnally granted a meeting with their department heads, they said that the real reason I was terminated was because I never met my quota. Rubbish, I was NEVER told, written, or verbally to meet a quota. NO provider rep. Has to meet a quota. And besides... I had the highest signups, what the heck is that if not breaking the record of any QUOTA??!!
AmeriPlan USA is a scam. Stay far, far away.
