Ripoff, on-line pharmacy calling people at home, apparently fradulent

I recieved a call from a representative of this company. They stated that they had recieved information that I have a history of ordering my medication for the purpose of a lower price over the internet and they would like to offer it to me for a $100 dollars cheaper than my current company if I switched to them. Of course this sounded good to me. So I ordered with them on the 22th of July and was assured that it would be sent to me within 3-5 business days. When I placed my order (which I should of went with my gut feeling that something was not right) I asked for a confirmation number and a call back number. (Information that was always given to me by my original pharmacy on-line that my Dr. Had referred for me to use for a lower cost, when he prescribed me the information) When I never recieved it I called them back at the contact number they gave me which was 1-888-557-1872 ext. 6690. She stated her name was Kristin. When I called this number I was on hold for about 20 minutes then when someone answered I asked to speak to Kristin at the ext. Of 6690, I was told that this ext did not exsist. I gave them the confirmation number I was given and I was informed that my credit card was invalid.

This card I know has "PLENTY" of money on it and thought it to be odd. They ask me to repeat mt card number to them for verification. Stupidly, I did. Then two days later I recieved a call from a gentleman by the name of Albert. He claimed he was from the "NEW" processing company for Hopemills and he needed for me to confirm with him my credit card number so that he could get my meds out to me ASAP, since it was a daily requirement for me and they had an issue with it not being aproved. At this point I was very suspicious and asked him to tell me what he had, along with a contact number for him and I would call my bank. He gave me the last 4 digits of my card and that was all he said he had. Well I know that is all that is given on any confirmation and I was not comfortable giving him the rest. So I told him I would call my bank and then I would call him back at a later time once I figured out why it was declining when I knew I had plenty of money in this account. He stated that his call back number was 1-866-873-3664 ext 4218. About 2 minutes after I hung up with him, my phone rang again. Guess who... It was the same voice asking to speak to a Terry Smith, when I asked if this was Albert with the credit card processing company, HopeMills. He stated yes it was him. I said, this is Laura. The girl you just hung up with. Why are you asking for a Terry Smith??? I asked him for the card number he had for this account, and guess what... He gave me the card number... in full.

Even telling me that Terry Smith lived in San Antonio, Texas. I asked him... Why would someone it Texas have the same phone number including area code as someone in Columbus, Ohio??? He quickly appologized then hung up on me. I recieved another call on August 19, from the same girl... Kristin giving me the same sales pitch as I had recieved back in July. When I told her of the situation she reconfirmed with me my information, I never gave it to her... And told me a glitch in the system kept if from being sent. She assured me I would recieve it on the 23rd of August and I would now get it for $50 cheaper for my problems. When on the morning of August 24th I still had not recieved my package I called back and again was told my card was declined. I knew in my heart something was wrong, AGAIN I have plenty available on this card. I told them to just forget the whole thing I was going back to my original company. I recieved this e-mail: (that evening) Wed 08/24/05 04:52: 00 PM EDT Laura J notified via email. Wed 08/24/05 04:52: 00 PM EDT Dear customer, There is a problem with the order. Please contact us at 888 557 1872,866 278 7099,866 862 8979 or via e-mail [email protected] so we can continue the process of it. Regards, HMUniversal

Tue 08/23/05 09:28: 10 AM EDT Order forwarded to physician for review.

Fri 08/19/05 01:48: 00 PM EDT Prescription approved by doctor.

Fri 08/19/05 01:27: 33 PM EDT Order forwarded to physician for review.

So far I have not noticed any charges, in the event that I do... I will have them reversed. And believe me I am going to go back and review all of my statements and make sure I have not overlooked a fraudulent charge. If I find one I WILL be refunded and charges will be filed. They called me, and I am wondering if it is even legal how they got my name and phone number in the first place.

I hope that some of the information I have provided is of assistance to those of you whom have had money stolen.

Sincerely
