If I could give this vendor a —5 rating I would. Unfortunately the rating only goes to 1. My husband and I listened to the 90 minute strong-armed sales pitch and found it very distasteful (SIGN UP TODAY OR ELSE YOU ARE BARRED FROM BEING A DIRECT BUY MEMBER FOREVER), but when the franchise owner (by the way he SEEMS like a really nice guy..) ensured us we had 3 days to evaluate the value of the program and would be able to cancel without cost. We thought we would give it a try, so we signed up at a cost of more than $3400. Since we rehab homes, if what they represented was true we had an opportunity for a nice return on investment in the next few months. I went online to "evaluate" the program and did not find a single cost for the items listed. A total waste of time. I found a lot of glitzy stuff but no prices. Feeling the hook in my mouth, I decided to cancel for the full refund, which was charged to my Discover Card, thankfully. Within the 3 day window, On 7/12 I faxed in my cancellation and followed up with a FedEx overnight package with the cancellation for which Direct Buy signed for as delivered. When I checked my Discover card statement the following month I did not have a refund from Direct Buy. Hmmmmmm I called them and was told to speak to their account, but could only get her voice mail. I left a message requesting refund. No response what-so - ever. I realized I had been duped so I submitted a charge dispute with Discover Card, they have been great by the way. They reversed the charge. Now this month 12/3 I see the charge is back on my card with an explanation that Direct Buy does not have the documentation of my cancellation. Now jumping through more hoops 5 months later, I submitted the documentation of the Fax and FedEd delivery and the request for cancellation. If you are approached by DIRECT BUY or even if they look in your general direction, RUN FORREST, RUN and DON'T LOOK BACK.
