I went to target before the holidays and spent a good $200 at the store close to our house. One of the guitars i bought for guitar hero didnt work when my boyfriend opened it on Christmas. And the funny thing about it was the fact that the box was re-taped, like someone before me had returned it and they put it back on the shelf to make an extra buck. Well, i went to return it, and it hadnt even been a month, but i had since lost the receipt from cleaning up all the chrstmas mess and trash, it must have just been something i picked up and threw out on accident. All i wanted was to just exchange for a new guitar that worked, which they had on shelves. They told me no because they changed their policy due to theft in the building and anything over $35 couldnt be exchanged for store credit anymore. So now i am stuck with a guitar that they KNEW didnt work... That they re-taped and put back on the shelf to sell, and i cant do anything about it. And to top everything off, it was the worst customer service i have ever experienced. The women was yelling at me, and getting smart with me for no reason. I just didnt understand, and was trying to understand how i can spend $200 in your store and you sell me something broken and now you wont do anything about it. Two other women came over and they were staring at me with their arms folded giving me a dirty looks, and telling me "o well... You should have thought about that before you thre your receipt away... Thats your own stupidity." that is what they said to me! What kind of customer service is that? I was outraged and asked for their information so i could speak to someone above them about the way they were handling the situation, and her whole tone was just so ignorant. She was yelling the whole time and told me to go ahead and report her, that nothing was going to happen so she didnt even care. I tell you, i will NEVER spend another cent in that store and i am telling everyone about it. Go to walmart where things are cheaper and the people are nicer. Target is just out for your money and to screw you over with their cheap shit that you cant return. Im sorry i lost my receipt... But why should i have to suffer because you cant control the theft in your store... Thats not my problem. I am a paying customer, not one who is stealing. Hire more security and treat your paying customers with some damn respect.
