On July 23, approximately 1050 hrs, I stopped by Starbucks Bayside Store (store #7391 - NY), presented Starbuck Discount Card, which I received from email, to the staff. As per Starbuck Card indicated that Starbuck should provide one 12 oz cup of iced coffee to the customer. Lisa Semper refused to serve any coffer. I requested her to read the card's instruction; she also refused to do so. When I requested talking to her supervisor, Lisa Semper said she was the manager and there was no one else above her. When I requested information for filing a complain, Lisa Semper further refused to provide any Starbuck contact information to me. She was very rude and unprofessional. She made it sound like she was the God of that store and there is no one else can tell her what to do. I think this is very unfair to consumer. If Lisa Semper is not happy about her job, she can always find something, which she likes to do. If she thinks consumer is getting too good of deal, she should talk to the Starbucks owners. As a Starbuck employee, she should not violate Company Policy and treated customer in the very unprofessional manor. If she is the manager as what she claimed she was, she certainly did not behave like one. And I wonder what kind of bad influence she will give to her follow employees. Lisa Semper certainly needs to be reeducated by Starbuck Corporation. She also needs to be reevaluated and replaced to the proper position, which has no contact to customers.
