I would strongly recommend not using dvdsetcollection.com unless you are happy to pay for cheap pirated copies. I bought a TV series off them and had a myriad of problems; nbc promotions at the bottom of the screen, dodgy intro/theme music/menu, no extras, and halfway through the episodes were out of sync with their titles (I think one must have been missed). The box looks professional but half of the things it offers aren't actually on the DVDs.
I understand that there is a risk when buying online, but the company misrepresents itself as legit, makes no hint of them being lesser quality. I contacted them asking for a refund, and have had about half a dozen conversations with them, which seem to be rather circular. They keep coming back to the point that they are Asian legal copies, and have offered me a $5 USD discount. Pffft.
It's bad enough they're selling illegal copies and getting away with it, but when customers come back to them saying that it wasn't what they were representing, they should give a full refund.
I'm just over it, I'm clearly not going to get anywhere with them, and I don't want to spend any more negative energy squabbling over it. So I'm going to learn from this to be less naive about choosing overseas sites, and this is my vent so I can just let the whole damn thing go.
So be warned! I went hunting for feedback and couldn't find any (except for rave reviews on their site), so I took the risk. Here's hoping this stops someone else from giving them any more bloody money!
