I purchased two Jupiter Jacks at a holiday expo in Portland. I paid cash from the girl behind the table. They had a Jupiter Jack video running — the same one that I've seen running at Walgreens and other department stores.
I was of the understanding that I could plug the Jack into my phone or iPod and the FM transmitter would transmit whatever would normally come out of the headphone jack through my stereo car speakers.
I tried teh Jupiter Jack in 2 cars, with a phone and an iPOD, with the 2 FM station settings of the Jupiter Jack, and the best I could do, is faintly hear what I was supposed to hear. I bought a brand new battery for the Jupiter Jack and got no improvement.
I tried moving the phones around the car to be super-close to the car's FM antenna but got no improvement.
I'm very frustrated because I bought these at a temporary holiday sale with cash and have no way to return them for my money back. I called Jupiter Jack and they said I'd have to return them to wherever I bought them.
So now I have 2 piece of junk Jupiter Jacks. I'm hoping that others read this and decide to not purchase them. They don't work as advertised!!!
