This company mislead me, and did not stand behind their employees mistake which, of course, cost ME both time and money... A new "Alltel" store opened across from my shop, which pleased me, as I was due for an upgrade. The first thing I asked upon walking in the store one Saturday afternoon was; " Are you an official Alltel store?". The clerk replied; "Yes". So I commenced shopping for a new phone. She was very nice and helpful and I decided on a new Glimmer. I also purchased an accessory package containing a clear case, 1gb of memory and a mobile charger for traveling.
Two weeks later, while traveling in Colorado, I discovered that she had sold me the wrong charger and my phone was going dead. I managed to locate a corporate Alltel store and was informed that they could not perform the exchange for me due to the fact that I had purchased it from an independent retailer! I proceeded to purchase the correct charger for ANOTHER $30.00. Several days after my return to Florida I attempted to return the incorrect charger to no avail... The clerk was new and offered me more accessories, which I did not need. I agreed to return to see a manager, who, after much negotiating, agreed to refund the $30.00 minus a 're-stocking' fee of $5.00 (because I had discarded the packaging) via company check by mail within two weeks. After all of this I have finally received a check for $17.11!! This is an outright INSULT as it was their clerk that sold me the wrong accessory to begin with. PLEASE make sure that you are dealing directly with a CORPORATE ALLTEL store. I have been with Alltel for years and have never had a bad experience... Obviously their criteria for 'Retail Sales Partner' needs to be way more stringent!
