Bought 500g Acomdata from Fry's and after within a week. The Windows XP reported the hard drive/usb not recognizable. Called Acomdata and spoke with a tech Support. The tech support person was very nice and advised me to mail the hard drive over and include the receipt.
After sending the hard drive, few days later I receive an email saying that they will not be able to fix the hard drive as the receipt is not the one for that hard drive. I called Fry's and confirmed with them that that is the correct receipt that was given to me when I bought the hard drive.
Tech person told me that he will still go ahead and have the hard drive fixed 1 time) unless I get the correct receipt!
So the hard drive was mailed back to me. Worked fine. After after few days. The Hard drive failed again!
Beware of Acomdata if you care for your data don't get Acomdata. Better to get a name brand drives. Made a big mistake to get that hard drive.
